Solar PanelEach One Teach One and the Community Cinema

‘Masai people are very proud of our life and our culture.  We are intelligent people who have survived many difficulties throughout our history.  Volunteers have much to learn from the Masai. Changing our lives to meet the needs of the future may be essential but we want all of the community self-help projects to be within our own control. This is something we can talk about as we work together. ’

‘Next year, perhaps we could have specialist Summer School, like a Summer University, to help older people learn new skills for employment and community development.’

As Community Cinema develops there may be further development of Each-One-Teach-One.  There is a request for a greater range of specialist expertise to be recruited from the UK, including volunteers from a range of professions and trades. Team Talek’s initial suggestions, to support the priorities identified at the outset, are:

  • Teachers
  • Doctors
  • Nurses
  • Family health workers
  • Optometry specialists
  • Farmers
  • Vets
  • Architects
  • Engineers
  • Builders
  • Carpenters
  • Electricians
  • Plumbers
  • Furniture Makers
  • Renewable energy specialists
  • Water management engineers
  • ICT Technicians

  • Actors
  • Writers
  • Artists
  • Film makers
